SetFrom for Outlook 2007/2010

Natively you cannot set up the default From or Reply-to address value for Microsoft Outlook. This utility allows you to insert any address/alias that you wish automatically to the "From:" and/or "Have replies sent to:" field of each outgoing message.

Installation

  Outlook 2007   Outlook 2010  
 1.  Download SetFrom2005-Demo.zip archive file.   Download SetFrom2010-Demo.zip archive file.  
 2.  Unpack the archive file.  
 3.  Exit Outlook in case it is running.  
 4.  Execute SetFrom2005_per_user.msi   If your Outlook is 32-bit, run SetFrom2010Setup_per-user32.msi,
otherwise execute SetFrom2010Setup_per-user64.msi
 
 5.  After completing the installation start Outlook.  
 6.  Click Tools -> Trust Center -> Add-ins.
Select "COM add-ins" in the Manage: listbox (at the bottom of the page) and click Go button.
You will see checked SetFrom in the list there.
  Click File -> Options -> Add-ins.
Select "COM add-ins" in the Manage: listbox (at the bottom of the page) and click Go button.
You will see checked SetFrom2010 in the list there.

 1.  Start Outlook and click Tools -> Options.   Click File -> Options -> Add-ins -> Add-in Options.  
 2.  Select SetFrom tab.

 3.  Fill out the default 'From' field. Mark appropriate "Enabled" checkbox. Click Apply. Click OK.   Fill out the default 'From' field. Click Apply. Click OK.

 4.  Create a new message. Enable the "From:" field.

 5.  Make sure the "From:" field is pre-populated.

SetFrom has been tested with Outlook 2007/2010 under Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7/Windows 2000/Windows 2003

About this demo version

This demo version has a limitation: the default value of the address field you have set in the SetFrom options tab should contain "TEST" substring.

F.A.Q.

Q. Does SetFrom works only on messages that are replied to or forwarded, or will it also work with messages that I originate from scratch?
A. SetFrom populates the "From:" and/or the "Have replies sent to:" fields for each NEW (never been sent or saved) message regardless of whether it is a brand new message or a reply or a forward.

Q. I am about to purchase this product but I wondering regarding updates/patches. What are the policies regarding updates? Do you provide them freely or as a purchase?
A. As a registered user, you will get free updates for one year from the date of purchase.
Once the new version is ready, this information will be e-mailed to all registered users. We will send updates via e-mail to those who request them.
